The New Year

Greetings in Jesus name. Peace and grace be multiplied unto you.

This year Christmas was blessed. We had food and children’s dancing and a family get-together with children. We had Christmas Eve services in all churches and New Year Watch Night services in all churches too. Christmas service and children dancing in open air meeting at the Hindu area was blessed. More than two hundred attended. Pilgrims called me to their homes to pray and bless them that night. Children enjoyed their new dresses.

The cost of commodities has suddenly shot up 6 to 7 times and some are beyond imagination. For example, the cost of one kilo of tomatoes which was rs 5 went up to rs 50 and onions from rs 12 to rs 90 per kilogram. There was 21 days of continuous heavy rain fall. Crops were damaged, many houses collapsed and a few hundred lost their lives. Transport by road and trains was cut off because of breeches in the roads. Schools were closed for a week.

The havoc of a mysterious fever causing immediate death is hovering over the land. Many have died.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

My visa expires on March 20th. Please pray for me to get a fresh visa.

We gave new dresses to the poor and widows in three churches and in the Hindu area. Sunday class children in churches were given stainless steel plates and tumblers.

Once again happy new year.

Church updates

Greetings in Jesus name. Peace and grace be multiplied unto you.

I had been to Kerala State to reopen no: 1 church after renovation. There were two baptisms and one child dedication on this Sunday service. The roof is made of iron frames and asbestos sheeting, side wells were fully removed and rebuilt, and the floor is laid in beautiful grey colour marble tiles.

The previous whole electrification wiring was pulled out and rewired with new cables. 30 plastic chairs were presented by two church members.

The wife of Pastor John Stepen of the church had lent some 120 dollars, pledging her gold jewels. It is now a loan. And we have to pay back the money. Pastor Stepen and his wife had made good efforts to rebuild this church.

At New Hope Community Church, Dawn E. McNeil, Deborah Houssler, Tracy Malony, Rick and Kim have given special donations. Praise God.

I am going to Chennai four hundred miles away by train on 29th Nov. to 2nd Dec. to buy dresses for the children and the poor for Christmas. Kindly pray 12th Nov. to 14th Nov. I am again visiting Pattumullay Church in the other state of Kerala. Thank you for your prayers and support.

With love and prayers.

Roy
